WITHOUT PREJUDICE

This organization was attempting to extort $1000 from me for a debt I paid over 3 years ago.

If you are in the market for a collections company you may wish to look for an organization with a well established reputation.

IF YOU HAVE DEBT KEEP READING...

Ontario has a statute of limitations for debt collections. It's 2 years. Oh snap. Legally, after 2 years all they can do is call you, send letters and texts messages asking you to pay. Do not make a payment, do not answer your phone for unknown numbers, do not return their calls, and most importantly do not acknowledge your debt in anyway. After 2 years they can't take you to court. That means no garnishing. If your debt is small and legal fees are high, they won't take you to court. Google it. Do note you are still responsible for the debt, there are options and services that can help you manage your debt and pay it.

This office shouldn't have tried to collect money from me when I had paid the debt in totality over 3 years ago.

All cell phones have a block number function. Use it.

These people send harassing emails despite no real decision reached by governing authorities (in this case the LTB) and make threats despite the evidence on the contrary. Shows their lack of ethics to governing laws and rules as per the LTB and unprofessionalism. You are not the LTB, there were no orders from the LTB and until then you cannot pursue this or harass other tenants who went through difficulties due to poor housing conditions.

I called this agency two years ago and gave them a case for collecting.. believe or not, the never called us for an updates and they never response to our calls except for one time .
Don’t use them .
